Grab a €50 free bet for the Saudi Arabian F1 race!

26.03.2022

Sportaza has baked a delightful surprise for all Formula One fans this weekend. Now you can grab a free bet worth up to €50 for yourself.

The Formula 1 season just started last weekend, but the tight new race calendar for 2022 continues immediately next weekend. This time, the caravan has traveled from the Gulf of Bahrain across the Arabian Peninsula to the shores of the Red Sea in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. The maritime street circuit in the Arabian desert, held for the second time in history, ended last year with Mercedes celebrating, but now the power dynamics predict something entirely different.

In honour of the exciting GP weekend, the Sportaza betting site has launched an interesting campaign where players can grab a tasty free bet of up to €50. This free coupon is available only by betting on the winner of the Formula 1 Saudi Arabian GP. Players must place a bet on the race winner with a minimum stake of €20, either before the race starts or in live betting. The minimum odds should be at least 1.50 or higher.

And to make the campaign even more exciting, the free bet is only paid out if a Safety Car is seen on the track during the race. If this happens and the safety car is seen in the race, you will receive a free bet equal to your stake, up to €50. And of course, any potential winnings from your own winner bet on top of that. Once the race has finished, you can request your free bet directly from customer service via live chat or email. After that, you have 24 hours to use your free bet.

However, the fun doesn't stop there. The winnings earned from the free bet come with a 3x wagering requirement at 1.50 minimum odds. Fortunately, you have 30 days to meet this requirement, so you can plan your games more carefully with the aim of overcoming the wagering. Once the winnings have been wagered three times, you can normally request a withdrawal and celebrate joyfully on your way to the bank.

Conditions for the Saudi Arabian GP

In Bahrain, Ferrari's strong pace during the early-season tests became a reality. The new red stallion from Maranello seemed to be close to the competitiveness of Mercedes and Red Bull since Barcelona, but the season opener showed it to be even ahead. Currently, Charles Leclerc and Scuderia Ferrari appear to be the strongest combination on the grid based on a short sample.

Red Bull suffered noticeably more from tire wear and brake overheating on Bahrain's relatively heavy track. Ultimately, the pancake completely flopped when both Red Bull cars had to retire from the race due to a technical issue believed to be related to the car's engine. The same issue was also seen with sister team Alpha Tauri, whose Honda engine caught fire during the race under Pierre Gasly.

Now, however, the conditions are also better for Red Bull, as the Jeddah circuit is high-speed and does not stress the car's tires or brakes as much as Bahrain. On the other hand, on the long straights, Ferrari's engine seems to be producing enough horsepower that the favourite's mantle will likely remain red. Mercedes managed to climb to 3rd and 4th places in the opening race with a bit of luck, but the sluggish performance has continued as the circus moves to the landscapes of Saudi Arabia.

From a Finnish perspective, the competitiveness of Alfa Romeo and Valtteri Bottas looks interesting again. The driver from Nastola showed in Bahrain, after initial problems, that both he and the car have the pace when needed. The Alfa, equipped with a Ferrari engine, will again be at the forefront of the midfield on the Jeddah street circuit, and it will be interesting to see how its performance holds up. Could Valtteri also give the Mercedes boys Lewis Hamilton and George Russell a proper run for their money this time?

Betting Tips for the Saudi Arabian F1 GP 2022

Before the qualifying sessions, the odds are quite interesting to read. The latest 3rd free practice indicated that the battle between Max Verstappen and Charles Leclerc will be a close one. Yet for some reason, Verstappen has been elevated to the favourite for the race win in the odds setup over the Monegasque. Let's take a look at the odds for the top drivers on Sportaza:

  • Max Verstappen 2.00
  • Charles Leclerc 2.75
  • Carlos Sainz 7.20
  • Lewis Hamilton 17.00
  • Sergio Perez 21.00

At this point, the scales must be tipped strongly in Leclerc's direction. In my view, this is quite a balanced matchup, but with a marginal difference, the favourite's mantle could again be thrown towards Ferrari. How Leclerc managed to control his tires and build his race without a worry was truly impressive. In the race, tire wear and technical issues will play a significant role, especially considering this is only the second race for these new era formulas. So, I’m placing my bet on Leclerc at odds of 2.75.

Oh, and about the possibility of a Safety Car. The Jeddah street circuit is very narrow without proper safety zones like a real racetrack, so even a minor accident can easily lead to the arrival of the safety car. Last year's race saw one safety car, two red flags (race stoppages), and an incredible four virtual safety cars. Drama and excitement are certainly in store this time as well.
